This page explains what information the site uses, why it is needed, and what happens when you delete your account.

Information collected

If you browse without signing in, the web server may record ordinary technical information such as your IP address, browser, requested page, and the time of the request.

If you sign in with Discord, the site receives basic account information needed to identify you, such as your Discord user ID, display name, avatar, and email address. It also checks which Discord servers you own or have permission to manage so it can authorize Wrench dashboard access. Discord access tokens are not retained. If you use a local account, the site stores the account information needed for that login.

Anything you choose to submit—such as comments, posts, or uploaded images—is also stored so it can be displayed and managed on the site.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate accounts, show who contributed content, provide site features, moderate activity, maintain security, and troubleshoot problems.

Tewlzbox does not use personal information for advertising or sell it to other parties.

Cookies and sessions

The site uses essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms, and maintain your session. Discord sign-ins are remembered automatically. For email and password sign-ins, choosing “remember me” allows the login to last longer on that device.

Third-party services

Discord handles the Discord sign-in process under its own terms and privacy practices. Some pages may also request fonts or other assets from external content providers. Following links to other websites makes their privacy practices applicable.

Retention and removal

Deleting your account removes the personal account information no longer needed to provide account access. The display name in use at deletion is retained beside existing posts, comments, and images with a “Deleted account” label so discussions and shared content keep their context.

You may contact tewl if you also want specific contributed content reviewed for removal.

If an account is banned for abuse, spam, or prohibited content, the site may retain keyed, non-readable hashes derived from account identifiers. These are used only to prevent the same identity from deleting an account and immediately registering again. The ban record may also retain an internal reason and moderation history.
